Fusion 2 Begins

In the summer of 2014 I was on my own World Race. It was a crisp July morning in Malawi and my team was sitting in church with dirt floors and worshipping along with an amazing children’s choir. As I closed my eyes I had a vision of the words ‘Fusion’, almost like lightening that stretches across a dark sky. That was the beginning of a wild journey God has called me on…

Fast forward to the present.

I spent the first 25 days of 2016 in Thailand training and mentoring the second ever World Race Fusion squad. Along with a small but incredibly passionate leadership and serve team, we ran a training camp and ‘launch’ from the field. Traditionally this all happens in America with more people involved, but were daily relying on God to lead and guide us. Over the couple weeks 25 strangers came together as a squad, soaked in teachings and training, experienced freedom, laughed and grew together. The Holy Spirit was present and God was moving in powerful ways.

My last few days I was able to spend time doing ministry with the squad and I was able to see firsthand the Lord doing some incredible things IN and THROUGH them. As I return to Georgia I now get the privilege of mentoring and guiding them from a distance, as well as joining them on the field again periodically throughout the year.

The Fusion 2 squad is more powerful and equipped than they even realize yet. Not because of what we have done as leadership, but because the Spirit that dwells in them. They are a unique blend of diverse Americans, a Costa Rican and a Russian. We are praying for even more possibilities for believers from other nationalities to join the squad for portions of the trip. The vision is to ‘make a way for those who don’t have a way’, and be a squad that is from the nations and taking the news of Jesus to the nations.

It’s difficult for me to truly put into words what my start to this year was like. Some that come to mind are: rewarding, challenging, growing, fulfilling, overwhelming, relational, Spirit led, joyful.

There were many incredible moments and a few moments I wanted to just sit down and cry. In all of these moments God was present and I give Him the glory. It was once again a reminder of how He is strongest in our weaknesses and He is a good good father.

The Fusion squad has already transitioned to month 2 in Cambodia and is spread out amount the country for ministry. I am now back in Georgia and adjusting to a still relatively new city, job and community.

In less than two months I will be flying to join the squad for a portion of their time in Vietnam and Indonesia. Until then I ask that you join me in praying for this incredible group!

Thank you to everyone who is supporting me and giving me the chance to serve in this capacity. I am still in need of financial support and if you feel lead to invest in what God is doing through me, there is a ‘Support me’ link on the side of the page.

God bless!
